Take your sewing to the next level
in this camp shirt workshop! In this class, we will construct a short sleeve button up shirt with a relaxed fit, perfect for layering, tucking or tying. This minimalist unisex design has sleek details and is versatile for either a day at the beach, or dressed up for dinner. While sewing this shirt, we will learn new skills including French seams, attaching a collar, using a serger, and creating button holes.
This class is perfect for the intermediate beginner who already has basic experience and competency with a sewing machine. Some experience with a serger is ideal, but not necessary.
Lightweight linen will be provided for this project. A selection of button options will also be provided for a custom touch! Please provide us with your standard size (S, M, L, XL, etc) as well as shoulder, bust, waist and hip measurements so that we can prepare the fabric for you in advance. This is meant to be a relaxed fit.
All materials included. Sewing machines and all equipment will be provided. Masks optional. This is an all day workshop, please bring your own lunch if needed. Light snacks will be provided.
Marbled Leather Journal Covers
No workshops scheduled at this time. Interested in organizing a workshop for friends or coworkers? Let me know!
Experience the wonders of marbling, a magical, spontaneous art form that creates beautiful one-of-a-kind surfaces. We will use a traditional method of marbling in a water bath, floating our paints on the surface to achieve fluid, dynamic patterns. Students will begin with a color exploration, building color palettes, and making practice prints. Then, we will marble and assemble a vegetable-tanned leather journal cover, which we will hand finish for a beautiful artisanal effect. Each person will learn about working with leather tools, how to sew a saddle stitch, and how to condition and protect the leather for years of use. Perfect for travel, reflection, notes, poems, songs, and sketches - these re-fillable journal covers are a lovely companion for your thoughts.
Students will leave with recipes and instructions for continuing the marbling process at home, on leather, paper, or fabric!
Includes an unlined 240-page journal.

No workshops scheduled at this time. Interested in organizing a workshop for friends or coworkers? Let me know!
This workshop will introduce students to the wonder of marbling, an amazing, sponaneous art form that creates beautiful one-of-a-kind surfaces, lead by Sadye Harvey of Temerity. We will use a traditional method of marbling in a thickened waterbath, and have the opportunity to make a few practice prints as we get the hang of the process. Then, we will marble and assemble a set of cork-backed leather coasters, which we will hand finish for a beautfiul artisanal effect. These eye-catching coasters will be a welcome addition to any cocktail party or end of summer barbeque, and you'll be able to apply your new marbling skills to a number of other surfaces - you'll be hooked!
